Show Village 2022: What’s an Immersive Tour ... and Where Can I Get One?

Show Village 2022 Immersive Home Tour
Just like the 2021 version of Pro Builder’s Immersive Home Experience, the two homes presented in 2022 will allow users to engage content as they tour the homes, including product information and insights from members of the project teams.
This article first appeared in the Your IBS 2022 Pre-Show Planner issue of Pro Builder.

As IBS returns to an in-person event in 2022, so will Show Village ... including the latest presentation of its unique, user-interactive “immersive home experience.” Two beautiful designs, based on extensive research, showcase smart/connected home technology, work- and learn-from-home spaces, and features for improved safety, privacy, and convenience, as well as homeowner health.

Both home tours can be accessed through your laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Subtle icons dotting the virtual tour, along with your virtual tour guide, James, will provide insights into the design and features of each room on both tours.

Introducing Barnaby

Barnaby is the first home derived from the America at Home Study, an extensive national consumer research effort conducted in two stages during the height of COVID-19 in 2020.

From more than 7,000 responses, the research team, DAHLIN Group Architecture | Planning, and Garman Homes of Cary, N.C., conjured a concept home that reflects changes in how people live post-pandemic.

Get Smart, Get Connected

The Smart/Connected immersive home is an original design by KTGY Architects that considers findings from Smart Home Tech: What Homeowners Value Now and Next, a consumer research report from the New Home Trends Institute (NHTI).

The ability to see and almost feel those key features in this immersive experience will open a lot of eyes to them.

The home also features a contemporary design, one of the most popular styles trending in new-home design.

“Both studies—and this home—reflect what home builders and design professionals need to consider in terms of providing home technology, timeless style, convenience, and lasting value for home buyers,” says Mikaela Arroyo, NHTI Director at John Burns Real Estate Consulting. “The ability to see and almost feel those key features in this immersive experience will open a lot of eyes to them.”

The Immersive Home Experience at Pro Builder Show Village 2022 will go live on Feb. 8, 2022, the first day of IBS, and remain open 24/7 for several months. Visit pbshowvillage.com to take the tour and learn more about all Show Village has to offer.

IBS attendees visiting Show Village will have an opportunity to take personal online interactive tours of Barnaby, a detached home based on extensive recent consumer lifestyle research (upper) and the Smart/ Connected Home (lower), a contemporary design that integrates meaningful home technologies that deliver true convenience, safety and health.
