An annual report from the Royal Bank of Canada says some home builders may be ripe for takeover. Beazer Homes, Hovnanian Enterprises, Taylor Morrison, and KB Homes were four builders highlighted in the report.
KB Homes is one of the home builders in 40 markets with 2 percent share of the market, building townhomes, condos, and single-family homes for first-time, move-up, and active adult buyers. KB Homes offers customized home building experiences for its buyers. 24/7 Wall Street says that Taylor Morrison is another attractive builder for a takeover as it has projects in appealing housing markets.
This micro-cap home builder may very well be on the radar of a larger player in the industry. Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. designs, constructs, markets and sells single-family detached homes, attached townhomes and condominiums, urban infill and active lifestyle homes in planned residential developments. The company markets and builds homes for first-time buyers, first-time and second-time move-up buyers, luxury buyers, active lifestyle buyers and empty nesters, which are in big demand right now.
