Majority of Housing Markets are Now Stable

Freddie Mac’s latest Multi-Indicator Market Index revealed that 80 percent of the country’s housing markets, plus the District of Columbia, showed an improving three-month trend in housing activity.
 
Realtor Magazine reported that in addition to the 38 states showing improvement in their housing markets, 40 of the 50 major metros tracked by Freddie Mac also showed a three-month improvement trend. The most improved states on a year-over-year basis include Nevada, Colorado, Rhode Island, Illinois, and Ohio.
