Two-thirds of Florida roofs have been updated since 2002, according to BuildFax’s Florida Roof Age Report. Over the past decade, stricter codes focused on increasing home safety and lowering insurance costs, and mitigation incentives, such as discounts for newer and safer roofs, are responsible for the sweeping upgrades.
