In response to the growing appetite to live centrally and a taste for luxury condominiums emerging in Dallas, some home builders want to add high-density communities to their menus.
David Weekley Homes is one example. Dallas News reports that the Houston-based high-production homebuilder is also working on several high-density projects close to downtown in addition to its traditional, detached homes in the suburbs.
According to Dustin Nelson, who heads the home builder’s North Texas operations, these projects are aimed at young professionals, young families, and retired people.
