Solar energy is meeting with resistance in some Texas communities, as residents and politicians argue the panels’ appearance makes their neighborhoods look like an industrial zone.
The state has many large neighborhoods controlled by homeowner’s associations, where plans to install solar panels continue to be delayed and in some instances denied, despite legislation that outlaw bans on solar power.
