A developer plans to build a 17-home subdivision on 1.2 acres near the Boise River in Idaho, but officials worry that the proposal is too dense.

The container houses will be built side-by-side in a single row with about 10 feet between each house. The target demographic includes eco-conscious homebuyers, first-time homebuyers, and empty-nesters. The anticipated sale price is $152,000.
