Over the next 30 years, the world’s population is expected to rise by 2.2 billion people, and 90 percent of that growth will take place in cities. Population density will become an even greater issue.
According to Forbes, the podcast Predicting Our Future examined Flux, a secretive Google X company that will use technology and analytics to more efficiently design and construct buildings.
Flux is exploring new ways to reorganize the power structure of the design process, and looking into integrated software that improves communication between architects, builders, and fabricators.
