NerdWallet released its analysis of the best small cities to move to with a family. Their top cities with populations between 25,000 to 75,000 residents offer the best combination of affordability, growth and prosperity, and family-friendliness.
Out of the 944 cities examined, Linton Hall, Virginia came out on top. The top ten list also included four cities in Texas, including Leander, Little Elm, Flower Mound, and Cedar Park.
Nine out of 10 of the top cities are suburbs of larger metro areas, offering the feel of a small town with the resources of a city. The exception is Bentonville, Arkansas, which is 115 miles away from the nearest big city.
