In an effort to find the hottest neighborhoods with affordable housing prices, Realtor.com and Yelp targeted the most in-demand housing markets with the highest concentrations of shops, venues, and eateries with mentions of "hipster".
The survey gives each of the top 50 neighborhoods a "hipster score" and a "hotness score". While California can boast having three of the top ten hottest areas, Fort Wayne, Indiana has the lowest median housing listing price ($163,925), and Columbus, Ohio's Clintonville neighborhood ranked as the top hipster neighborhood overall, CNBC reports.
"... While some cities and ZIP codes, like Seattle, may be more recognizable as traditional hipster havens," others are more "under-the-radar" and not in the priciest big cities," the survey says.
