As if the housing market needs another indicator foreshadowing a slowdown, a second quarter survey by the National Association of Home Builders revealed that just 12% of adults are considering buying a home within the next 12 months.
The drop marks the third consecutive year-over-year decline of adults thinking about becoming homebuyers. The NAHB report has further breakdowns regarding intent to buy by age group, region, and first-time buyers.
