Sales are flat but confidence is rising

The Census and HUD October report shows that sales of new single-family homes were up 0.7 percent, says the NAHB.
 
Meanwhile, inventories and builder confidence have been rising side-by-side. The November NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index of single-family builder confidence rose to 58, which the NAHB attributes to promising long-run trends.
