Apparently 22 stories weren’t enough. Mukesh Ambani, chairman and director of Reliance Industries, and the world’s fourth richest person, is now the proud owner of a 27-story residence in Mumbai, India, Building Design and Construction reported.
The “house,” named Antilia after the mythical island in the Atlantic Ocean, will be home to Ambani, his wife, their three children and 600 full-time staff. Some of the niceties include three helipads, several swimming pools, a movie theater and a six-story, 160-car garage.
Murkesh’s wife came up with the idea after visiting New York’s Mandarin Oriental. Chicago’s Perkins & Will, the hotel’s designers, based the new home on the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and included hydroponic gardens and open green space between many of the floors.
