IKEA shoppers can now buy an actual house from the Swedish furniture giant, which recently debuted the Aktiv modular home. It is the first full home offered by IKEA, according to IdeaBox, which designed the Aktiv.
The pre-assembled, linear layout connects the kitchen and living room; homeowners have to go through the bedroom to access the bathroom. The entire home is 745 square feet. IKEA refers to the style as a “designer Euro flat.” There is also a walk-in storage space behind the home.
Homeowners can customize color schemes throughout the house. Energy Star appliances are supplied, including an induction cooktop, convection oven, refrigerator and dishwashers. Bathroom highlights include a two-sink vanity with four drawers and an additional storage cabinet.
The Aktiv is priced at $86,500.
