Permabase CI Insulated Cement Board from National Gypsum is a composite cement board with rigid insulation that serves as an ideal substrate for exterior finishes, the company says. It is mold-resistant, exceeds energy code requirements in all U.S. climate zones with an R-Value of R-10, and is Greenguard Gold-certified. Designed to be lighter weight than using a separate cement board and insulation products, the manufacturer also claims that using the board reduces total installed costs by between 20 and 25 percent.
