According to the National Association of Realtor’s 2016 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, more people without children are living in townhouses and condos. In addition to wanting smaller space, they’re living in metro markets that are closer to friends, family, shopping and entertainment or in walkable suburbs with townhouses and condos.
