Locking Down Smart Home Security Best Practices

In the latest episode of Curbed video series "Home of the Future," the design team tackles smart home security, and offers advice on how best to protect household data. 

Smart home locks and security systems can monitor and possibly anticipate household behavior and device commands, and such household behavioral data can become a commodity, according to Curbed. “While governments, companies, and public opinion try to create order in this Wild West of data collection, the best thing we can do as consumers and users of these devices is be aware of the trade-offs,” says Anne Boysen, strategic consultant and futurist based in Texas.
