Coldwell Banker’s annual Home Listing Report ranks the most expensive places to buy homes in America by state. While California dominated the overall rankings, there are pricey housing markets all over the United States, including Eagle, Idaho, where a four-bedroom, two-bath house lists for an average price of $429,017. Not surprisingly, the same home in Saratoga, Calif., sells for an average of $2.4 million.
